More Information#705 is 50 years old this year and in excellent condition; no leaks; very good paint inside and out with minor scratches, zero rot of any kind and I would guess as sound as they come. Nice aluminum mast and boom….lightweight spinnaker pole….I have I don’t know how many sets of sails…..4 or 5 at any rate and the two new Doyles are near new and the rest are all in very good shape…the boat has front and back bulkheads and some flotation blocks in the stern….The floor boards could use replaced as they are bent…..made out of too thin of plywood…
And she comes with a nice functional trailer. When I got it here I took the boat off the trailer and had the trailer modified so the boat could be ramp launched. I also had a welder make me an 8′ detatchable hitch extension to make ramp launching easier and it works well. While the boat was off the trailer I re-padded the supports. This trailer pulls like it’s not even there.
I would prefer to sell her before winter here as I have very limited storage space and I would be willing to meet someone
Mr. Ean Duncan has seen her and he will attest to her condition I am sure if asked. Ean is Raymond Hunt’s cousin and has been involved with sailing much of his life…
Someone will get a nice vessel here …
Prior to my ownership 705 was last raced in 2010 and has plywood bulkheads, class legal flotation and the latest SuperSpar mast, boom and standing rigging. All the Harken running rigging was in good working order the last time the boat was raced.
The boat features like-new Doyle mainsail and jib. The boat also comes with sets of old sails. As shown in the pictures, the boat comes with an excellent trailer in good working condition.
705 was the last 110 built by Jesiek Brothers Ship Yard.
Price is negotiable. Located Colorado. Owner willing to meet halfway to the buyer.
